PLANET CIS Special Edition

PLANET CIS: SPECIAL EDITION is a standalone Star Wars roleplaying game for four to six people [three to five players and one referee], inspired by Star Wars: Battlefront 2 [2005].

As a battle droid in the army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems [CIS], you are an utterly disposable bit of cannon fodder for the Separatist war machine. Luckily, you and your fellow droids share memories in a central computer, so even though you’ll die - a lot - you’ll also be repaired, rebuilt, and thrown right back onto the battlefield.

In this rulebook, you’ll find:

• Fiction-first wargame rules that use the Powered by the Apocalypse system and don’t require a ruler or gridded map
• Five droid types [B1, B2, BX, droideka, and R2] for players, with options for customization
• A system for player character death and “respawning,” based on the PLANET FIST reassembly mechanic
• Stats for a variety of Separatist and Republic forces, including vehicles
• Tools for referees to create missions, including tables for randomly determining mission objectives and threats
• A prewritten sample mission for referees to get started

PLANET CIS began as a Star Wars-themed hack of PLANET FIST, written at the very last minute for the PLANET FIST jam because I realized I had the opportunity to name it the funniest thing ever.
